Photo Tips

Photography Tips

Improve your product photos so pieces look authentic and appealing in the catalogue.

1

Use soft natural light; avoid direct flash on shiny pieces or delicate textures.

2

Shoot on neutral backgrounds (linen, paper, or light wood) so true colors stand out.

3

Include a detail shot (texture, stitching, glaze) and one of the full piece.

4

Show scale with a simple reference (hand, coin, or ruler) when size matters.

5

Capture the process or workshop: it builds trust and tells the story behind the piece.

6

Edit gently: correct light and color without oversaturating; the handmade look should stay natural.

7

Upload sharp images (at least 1200px on the long side) in landscape or square format.

8

Keep visual consistency in your catalogue: similar light, backgrounds, and framing across pieces.
